This project expanded an veterinary clinic from 1,800 to 5,100 sq. ft. to enable to clinic to serve more client’s needs. The challenge was to design the building around an easement that is unmovable. To work around this issue, a separate building was created to house the additional square footage that did not fit on the original lot and is connected to its other half by an interior courtyard. One half is designated for grooming and boarding pets, while the other side is a medical facility that required a waiting room, five exam rooms, two surgical tables, and one treatment area. This project successfully maneuvered around an interesting site issue to accommodate all the needs of the client.
